Questions
Good to know.
What is WebP?
WebP is an image format made for websites. It keeps files small, but older apps, some editors and many upload forms don’t accept it.
Is anything uploaded?
No. Your browser decodes the WebP and writes the JPG. Metvoro never receives your images.
What happens to transparent areas?
JPG has no transparency, so transparent pixels are filled with the colour you choose.
Are animated WebP files supported?
Only the first frame is converted. JPG can’t hold animation.
Curious what your files reveal?
Metvoro can also read the hidden metadata in photos, PDFs and Office files and explain it in plain language.
