Is it really free and private?
Yes. The conversion happens in your browser. Metvoro never receives your images, and there is no account or watermark.
What happens to transparent areas?
JPG has no transparency, so transparent pixels are filled with the colour you choose. White is the default.
Will the JPG be smaller?
Usually, for photos and gradients. Simple graphics with flat colours can come out larger as JPG. For those, PNG is the better format.
Does the JPG keep the PNG’s metadata?
No. The new file is drawn from the pixels only, so text notes, dates and other metadata in the PNG are not copied.
Which quality should I choose?
90% is a good default. Go lower for smaller files, or higher if you see blur around sharp edges or text.
