Will the PNG look better than the JPG?
No. PNG stores the picture exactly as it is now, so any JPG compression stays. PNG is useful for editing, because saving again won’t lose more quality.
Why is the PNG bigger?
PNG is lossless, so it keeps every pixel. Photos as PNG are usually several times larger than as JPG.
Does the PNG keep the photo’s metadata?
No. EXIF, GPS and camera details are not copied into the PNG.
Is anything uploaded?
No. Everything happens in your browser. Metvoro never receives your photos.
